New York Association of Guide Dog Users

New York Association of Guide Dog Users

We welcome people who are guide dog users, those who are interested in becoming guide dog users, or those who just care about guide dog issues. Dues are only $5.00 per year.

We help people having dog-related access issues advocate for themselves, and we work to improve laws so as to prevent future problems. Through our listserv, nyagdu @ nfbnet.org, we discuss such topics as access, dog retirement, behavior questions, or whether getting a guide dog might be a good move for you. We have dog users from several different training programs, giving us a broader perspective than groups limited to one school's graduates. Also, our association with our National Division lets us share ideas and solutions with other dog users all over the country. We invite you to join us to make friends and do important work.
